Our first Vendemmia, the grape harvest
On the day it was an early start, we kicked off at 6am and by 9am already had a good head start on thew day, we had some friends and neighbors over to help us and we worked hard in the sun.
Luckily there was a cool breeze blowing and the event was nice, chatting to the person opposite you on the vine, and making progress through the day.
It was soon time to collect the cassette and be on our way to the winery to get our grapes de-stemmed and into the tank to start their fermentation, its now 2 days later and we cannot wait to see how the must (the grape juice) is tasting, it will give an indication of the taste and flavour of the wine to come!
