Big Decision About the 2024 Harvest
🍇 Big Decision About the 2024 Harvest 🍷
At Tenuta Le Mandorlaie, we’ve made the tough decision not to produce a 2024 vintage ‘Capricci’, our full bodied, oak aged Sagiovese focused IGT Toscana Rosso created from our 70 year old vines.
Instead, we’ll focus on producing around 3,000 bottles of 2023 vintage, which will be ready for bottling in May 2025.
This choice wasn’t easy, but it’s a necessary response to the current situation in the wine industry.
đź’ˇ Why We Made This Decision
Right now, people are spending less, dining out less, and facing uncertainty. This has left small producers like us holding onto more wine than usual, while large vineyards are flooding the market with millions of bottles. For small, artisanal wineries, this oversupply creates financial challenges and puts pressure on prices.
🌍 Our Focus on Quality
By controlling our production, we can maintain our high standards and ensure every bottle reflects our passion for the land and sustainable farming practices.
For us it’s always been about quality over quantity, and making sure we stay true to what matters most.
We can’t wait to share our 2023 vintage with you next year, but right now, you can support independent vineyards while enjoying our 2021 and 2022 vintage ‘Capricci’ available direct from our online shop.
